Our Biggest Owners’ Annual Golf Day Yet
Our 2026 Thornley Leisure Parks Annual Owners’ Golf Day was our biggest yet, bringing together owners from across our parks for a fantastic day of golf, friendly competition and great company at Abergele Golf Club.
Held on Friday 17th July 2026, this year’s event welcomed an incredible 65 players across 17 teams, making it our largest Annual Golf Day to date. We were also delighted to welcome our first-ever Junior entry, marking another exciting first for the event.
A brilliant day on the course
The day began bright and early, with players arriving from 7:45am for breakfast and registration before the first tee-off at 8:30am.
This year’s competition followed a Stableford format, with plenty to play for throughout the day. Prizes were up for grabs across a range of categories, including highest scores, longest drive, nearest the pin, putting champion, best front nine and best back nine, with a booby prize thrown in for a bit of fun too.
There were plenty of fantastic shots, some healthy competition and, most importantly, lots of laughs along the way.
A huge congratulations to all of our prize winners and everyone who took part. Whether competing for the top spot or simply enjoying a day out on the course, every player helped make this year’s event such a success.
£300 raised for St David’s Hospice
Alongside the golf, we were proud to once again use the day as an opportunity to support a fantastic local cause.
Our charity raffle raised an amazing £300 for St David’s Hospice, with players having the chance to win a very special signed Sir Nick Faldo hat.
A huge thank you to everyone who bought a ticket and supported the raffle. We’re delighted that the day could help raise funds for such an important charity.

A special thank you must also go to Abergele Golf Club for once again being fantastic hosts and helping us enjoy another memorable Annual Golf Day.
Players were also treated to Thornley Leisure Parks golf merchandise, including branded hats, golf balls and scorecards, alongside snacks to keep everyone going around the course.
Bringing our owner community together
Our Annual Golf Day has become a firm favourite in the Thornley Leisure Parks calendar, and seeing a record number of owners taking part made the 2026 event particularly special.
These events are about much more than the competition. They’re a chance for owners from across our parks to come together, catch up with familiar faces, meet new people and enjoy another memorable day as part of the Thornley Leisure Parks community.
