Something To Look Forward To provides free gifts and experiences for people affected by cancer and their families, helping to support their wellbeing during a difficult time.
We support the charity by donating holidays at our parks, offering guests the opportunity to spend time away with those closest to them. Time together is at the heart of what we value, and this partnership helps make that possible for families facing the emotional and financial impact of cancer.
Each year, our park communities come together to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support, with owners, guests, team members and local businesses all getting involved.
From coffee mornings filled with homemade cakes and raffles to darts marathons, auctions and other fundraising events, our parks put their own spin on supporting this fantastic cause. In 2026, another brilliant weekend of fundraising saw communities across Thornley Leisure Parks join forces to raise thousands of pounds for Macmillan.

For dialysis patients, treatment three times a week often puts holidays out of reach. Our special dialysis caravan in Caernarfon offered patients and their families a rare chance for a seaside break, while still receiving care from trusted NHS staff. Sadly, the caravan had been nearing the end of its life, and we urgently needed support to secure a new one.
That’s why we were thrilled to welcome Spud Man—the UK’s king of jacket potatoes and social media sensation—to Dinlle Caravan Park on Saturday 3rd May for a spud-tacular charity weekend in aid of the Derby & Burton Hospitals Charity Dialysis Fundraiser.
Spud Man’s visit brought buzz, positivity and a brilliant spotlight to our cause, helping us raise vital funds so dialysis patients can continue to enjoy much-needed holidays.
A heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined us at Dinlle Caravan Park and helped make a real difference!
At Thornley Leisure Parks, we’re delighted to sponsor the Snow Leopard enclosure at the Welsh Mountain Zoo. These beautiful, endangered animals hold a special place in our hearts, and our support helps ensure they receive the care and protection they need. The zoo does incredible work in wildlife conservation and education, and we’re proud to play a part in safeguarding these majestic creatures for future generations to admire and cherish.
Across many of our parks, we proudly host Macmillan Coffee Mornings to support those affected by cancer. These events bring our communities together over coffee and cake, all while raising vital funds for Macmillan’s incredible work. It’s a simple, heartfelt way for us to make a difference and stand with a cause that touches so many lives.
We’re proud to support Ty Gobaith (Hope House), a wonderful children’s hospice providing vital care to children with life-threatening conditions and their families. To raise funds and awareness, we host fun days across our parks, bringing communities together for this important cause. Their incredible work makes a real difference, and we’re honoured to contribute to their mission of offering comfort, hope, and specialist care when it’s needed most
Our amazing Office Manager, Alison, and Company Director, Will, took to the skies—literally!—to raise funds for St David’s Hospice. Together, they braved a thrilling wing walk, soaring through the air to support this vital charity that provides compassionate end-of-life care. Thanks to their courage and the generous support of our community, they raised an incredible £8,000. We’re beyond proud of their efforts and honoured to contribute to the hospice’s life-changing work.
At Gallaber Park, we’re proud to support Yorkshire Air Ambulance, a lifesaving charity providing rapid emergency response across the region. Through our fundraising efforts, we help keep their helicopters in the air, ensuring they can continue delivering critical care when it’s needed most. It’s an incredible cause, and we’re honoured to play a part in supporting their vital work.
St David’s Hospice provides specialist palliative care and support to people living with life-limiting illnesses and their families across North West Wales.
We’re proud to support this important local charity through fundraising events that bring our team, owners and wider community together. At our annual golf day at Abergele Golf Club, a charity raffle raised £300 for St David’s Hospice, thanks to the generosity of everyone who donated prizes and purchased tickets.
It’s a pleasure to play a small part in supporting the compassionate care and services the hospice provides to local families.
