Celebrating Our Owners’ Best Garden Competitions 2026
Summer has been blooming across Thornley Leisure Parks as our annual Owners’ Garden Competitions returned for 2026.
Over the past few weeks, Owners across our parks have been putting their green fingers to work, creating beautiful gardens, colourful displays and carefully tended plots around their holiday homes. From established gardens bursting with flowers to impressive transformations and creative pots, the standard this year has once again been fantastic.
Our competitions are always a brilliant opportunity to celebrate the time, creativity and care our Owners put into making their own little corner of the park feel like home, while adding even more colour and character for the whole park community to enjoy.
Celebrating gardens, plots and transformations
With every park having its own character, this year’s competitions celebrated a fantastic variety of outdoor spaces.
Categories across our parks included Best Kept Garden, Most Improved Garden and Best Kept Plot, while our touring communities at Dinlle and Gallaber Park also celebrated their Best Kept Long Term Tourer Pitches.
Whether it was a colourful flower bed, a carefully landscaped garden, an immaculate plot or a space that had undergone an impressive transformation, there was plenty for our judges to admire.
A helping hand from our guest judges
With so many brilliant entries, choosing the winners was no easy task! We were delighted to welcome a number of fantastic local businesses and organisations to join us for judging across our parks this year.
A huge thank you goes to Let’s Farm, who joined us at Lakeside to take on the difficult task of selecting this year’s Best Kept Garden; Bodnant Garden Centre, who supported judging at Maenan Abbey; Jones Premier Plants who helped crown and judge at The Beach and Craiglwyd Hall; and Fron Goch Garden Centre, who were involved in judging at Dinlle and Morfa Lodge.
At Valley View, we were joined by Jaz from Fed Kitchen, who not only helped with the judging but also brought along some delicious bakes for Owners to enjoy during the afternoon.
We are incredibly grateful to everyone who gave their time and expertise to support this year’s competitions. Working alongside fantastic local businesses and organisations makes these events even more special and is a lovely way to bring our wider communities together.
Making every plot feel like home
One of our favourite things about the annual competitions is seeing just how much personality our Owners bring to their outdoor spaces.
Some gardens were filled with colourful planting and flourishing borders, while others featured carefully planned seating areas, decorative touches and beautifully presented pots. We also saw some fantastic transformations from Owners who have spent the season creating something completely new.
These individual touches make a real difference to the atmosphere of our parks. Every beautifully maintained garden or plot becomes part of the wider landscape, creating spaces that Owners, guests and our park teams can all enjoy.
And, of course, there is always a little friendly competition and plenty of inspiration for what to plant, change or create next year!
Thank you to our green-fingered Owners
A huge congratulations goes to all of our 2026 winners and runners-up, and an equally big thank you to every Owner who entered. The time, effort and creativity that went into this year’s entries was wonderful to see, and the gardens and plots across our parks are a real credit to the people who look after them.
We are already looking forward to seeing what you grow in 2027! 🌸🌿
