What Is the BH&HPA?
Founded in 1950, the BH&HPA is the leading UK trade body for holiday, residential, and touring park operators. It represents the industry at a national level, provides expert guidance, and supports members in delivering safe, lawful, and customer-focused experiences.

Thornley Leisure Parks is a proud member of the British Holiday & Home Parks Association—a relationship that reflects our long-standing commitment to doing things properly.
We’ve been part of the BH&HPA since around 1970 – before that we were part of the NFSO (National Federation of Site Operators), and during that time we’ve tried to make positive impacts on the holiday park industry.
David SNR is the longest standing director of the BHHPA, and represents Gwynedd & Anglesey Counties. This relationship isn’t just symbolic—it’s active. It plays a role in how we shape our internal policies, how we train our teams, and how we make decisions that impact our guests and owners, our manufacturers and the industry as a whole.
As the industry evolves, so does our approach—and with the BH&HPA’s support, we’re always one step ahead, ensuring that what we offer is not only compliant, but considerate, forward-thinking, and genuinely positively customer and industry focused.
