With so many wonderful members of our Thornley team working around the clock to give you holiday home happiness, we thought a regular blog on who they are and what makes them tick would be a good read! After all, there’s no one who knows our holiday homes quite like our park managers and further Thornley family so who better to ask for the local tips and tricks?! Up next is Brent Jones, Sales Manager at The Beach Caravan Park.

Name: Brent Jones

Park: The Beach Caravan Park, Llanddulas

How long have you worked for Thornley Leisure? Two years

What do you enjoy most about your role? I enjoy the satisfaction of finding someone their dream holiday home which I know they’ll keep and make lots of memories in for years to come. I also like problem solving so to find someone a holiday home they’ve been searching for for a long time is a great feeling!

I can most likely be found… If I’m not in the office, you’ll catch me around the park either on the buggy or chatting with owners out and about.

My favourite things about the park are: The owners and the location, I like the fact that there’s a lot of owners that have been here for years and some of them even for generations. Because of that it’s like a small community which is nice and friendly.

My best tips for the surrounding area are: We’re lucky here with us being right on the beach so you can walk, cycle or run along the coast. There’s a lot of great spots for fishing too, not just along the coast but inland at the many rivers and lakes. We are spoilt for choice when it comes to walks in the area and over towards Snowdonia which a lot of owners tend to do when they’re using their holiday home.

I enjoy The Beach and its location because: I worked on and was around fishing boats all my life before I started a career in the caravan industry. So to work right on the sea front is amazing, whether it be a nice Summer’s day or a Winter’s day I just love looking out to sea! It’s a view you can never get bored of!

My advice to people looking to own a caravan would be: Own one at The Beach Caravan Park!!!

If I could recommend one must see/do activity for the local area it would be: Visit Llandudno, there’s lots of nice cafes and shops as well as a 19th century pier which is a great place to go to. The Great Orme is a big attraction with the mines and the tramway which travels up to the summit.

Any parting words? It’s a pleasure to work for such a great family run business, if you’re an employee or an owner you’re not just a number, you are well looked after and greatly appreciated and that’s a nice feeling.
