What does it mean? ‘We’re good to go’?

The ‘We’re Good to Go’ is a free UK-wide industry standard and consumer mark to reassure customers that your business adheres to Government and public health guidance in the wake of the recent coronavirus pandemic.

This has been put together in working partnerships between Visit Britain and other destination management organisations as well as supporting trade organisations like the BH&HPA that support the caravan industry in the United Kingdom.

What have we had to do in order to gain our certification?

In order to be able to complete the online questionnaire to qualify for the ‘We’re Good To Go’ standard, Thornley Leisure Parks have had to undertake and complete a number of COVID-19 Risk Assessments, training, aswell as the procurement of the appropriate PPE and signage to ensure our caravan parks are safe to welcome back our customers.

We have had to tear up the old park management procedure book and relook at all our processes which we have in place in order to safeguard our staff, our customers and our local communities in order to help prevent the spread of the disease.

Why is this so important?

Our staff, customers and local communities’ safety is at the forefront of everything we do. It is imperative that we install these new processes and procedures in order to establish consumer confidence so that our customers of today and tomorrow feel safe visiting our parks.

Does every business have to have this in place?

This isn’t mandatory for parks to complete in order to reopen. In fact, when parks reopened, Wales led the way in terms of caravan parks who had signed up to the scheme with 65%.

All of our 9 caravan parks have successfully undertaken the relevant COVID 19 Risk Assessments and have all qualified to proudly say ‘We’re Good to Go’!!

We welcome comments in order to help us improve our processes. We are in regular communication with our staff in order to improve and safeguard their wellbeing and if there is anything you think we can improve upon in terms of our COVID-19 safety please do not hesitate in getting in contact with us at
