Community and Local Partnerships

Community and local partnerships are an important part of life at The Beach Caravan Park, bringing guests, owners, residents, charities and businesses together through fundraising, events and shared experiences.

Community and Local Partnerships at The Beach

As a family business with deep roots in North Wales, supporting the place we call home is especially important to us. Our community and local partnerships help guests and owners make more of the area during their stay, while encouraging them to discover local attractions, support independent businesses and connect with the people and places that make the region special.

Through our events, communications and wider platforms, we can raise awareness of local organisations, contribute to the regional economy and use our reach to support charitable causes. It is about creating a memorable experience at The Beach while ensuring our presence has a positive impact beyond the park.

In 2025 we raised £3,265.50 for charitable causes!

Supporting Local Charities

  • Colwyn Bay Football Sponsorship: We sponsored the training kit for Colwyn Bay’s U12 and U13 football teams, supporting young players and grassroots sport within our local community.
  • Ysgol Glan Morfa Sponsored Walk: When pupils completed a sponsored walk for charity, The Beach provided complimentary refreshments and a rest stop to support them along the route.
  • St David’s Hospice Dragon Boat Race: Members of The Beach team joined colleagues from across Thornley Leisure Parks to compete in the 2026 Dragon Boat Race, raising funds for St David’s Hospice.
  • Macmillan Coffee Morning: Each year, we host our popular Macmillan Coffee Morning, bringing our community together over coffee and cake while raising money for Macmillan Cancer Support.
  • Annual Fun Day for Tŷ Gobaith: Our annual Fun Day brings guests, owners and local businesses together for a lively day of activities and entertainment, raising funds for Tŷ Gobaith children’s hospice.

Championing Local Businesses

  • Destination-Led Content: Across our website, email newsletters and social media channels, we promote local attractions and experiences that encourage visitors to explore more of North Wales. Recent collaborations and features have included Welsh Mountain Zoo, Beaumaris Castle and Peregrine Circus.
  • Owners’ Exclusive Discounts: Our partnerships with 39 North Wales businesses give holiday home owners access to exclusive local offers. These relationships encourage our owners to discover and support independent attractions, shops, restaurants and experience providers across the region.
  • Promoting Local Partners: We support surrounding businesses through listings on our website, features within marketing campaigns and printed leaflets available to visitors. This helps local organisations reach more guests while making it easier for visitors to plan their time in North Wales.
  • Events with Local Businesses: Many of our park events are organised in collaboration with local companies, including pamper evenings, afternoon teas and our annual garden competition with Jones Premier Plants.
  • Supporting Local Performers: Over the past 12 months, entertainment at The Beachcomber Bar has featured 45 individual local performers, providing them with a welcoming venue while giving guests and residents a varied programme programme.

Food, Drink and Local Enterprise

  • Open to the Local Community: The Beachcomber Bar welcomes guests, holiday home owners and local residents, creating a friendly social space where people from across the park and surrounding area can come together.
  • A Dog-Friendly Welcome: In 2026, The Beachcomber Bar began welcoming dogs, making it easier for guests, owners and local residents to enjoy the venue with their four-legged companions.
  • Supporting Local Enterprise: Tides Café Bistro is leased by owner of the successful Marmalade café in Rhos-on-Sea. This partnership has helped an established local business expand while enhancing the food and drink available to guests, owners and residents.
  • The Beachcomber Loyalty Card: Launched in 2026, our loyalty card rewards returning customers and encourages guests, owners and local residents to continue enjoying The Beachcomber Bar throughout the season.
  • Five-Star Food Hygiene Rating: Our five-star food hygiene rating reflects the high standards maintained across our food and drink facilities, giving guests, owners and local residents confidence whenever they visit.
